About this project

Teen Minds Matter is a student-led initiative helping PCDS upper-school students understand, navigate, and access existing mental-health resources — at school, in Phoenix, and nationally.

Our role — and what we don't do

Teen Minds Matter is a student-led educational initiative. We do not provide counseling, diagnosis, or treatment. Our goal is to help students find and understand existing support.

Nothing on this site is a substitute for professional care. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you need to talk to someone trained right now, call or text 988, or call Teen Lifeline at 602-248-8336.

The resource list and crisis language should be reviewed with PCDS counseling staff and a faculty advisor before the site is promoted beyond student testing.

Who we're serving first

PCDS upper-school students are the initial community for this project. We're testing the site with PCDS students, gathering their feedback, and improving it from there. Arizona and national resources are included because PCDS students use them too.

Why we built it

Support exists — most students just don't know what it is, who to ask, or what happens after you ask. This site answers that plainly, and points each situation toward the resource that actually fits it.

How we keep this accurate

  • Phone numbers and links are checked against each organization's official site.
  • Crisis information is taken directly from each organization's own site.
  • School-specific claims are limited to published PCDS guidance; changing details must be confirmed with school staff.
  • Student feedback below tells us which resources are missing or not a good fit.

Not sure what you need? Start with "I don't know where to start."
